Scented Candle Care and Safety

Please read all Candle Care instructions before burning any scented candle.

Candle Care for our Veggie Wax candles is slightly different than your average candle. Because our Veggie Wax has a lower melt point, our highly scented votives should always be burned in a tightly fitting container. These natural blend candles when burning will create pools of wax. By using a tight fitting votive holder your candle will not create wax pools and will burn longer and more efficiently.

All candles should be placed on a protective heat resistant surface. Scented Jars as well as Votive holders can become hot during normal use and could cause damage to furniture.

Our Scented Jar candles should be burned for 3 hours at a time. This ensures that the candle burns evenly. Discontinue use of the Scented Jar when there is ½ inch of wax left.

Do not use a Scented Jar if the glass is chipped or cracked.

Our Scented Jars are double wicked. Because of this we advise that you never use a “Jar Warmer” for our candles. The low melt point of the Veggie wax and the metal anchor of the wicks when used in a “Jar Warmer” can cause the jar to overheat and break.

Our Votives may be used in Tart Warmers just pull the wick out before putting the wax in the warmer.
Wicks should be trimmed to ¼ inch. The best time for wick trimming is just before you light the candle. Make Wick-Trimming part of your candle ritual. Here’s a tip, use a toenail clipper to trim your wicks. It reaches easily into your scented jar and the trimmed wick doesn’t fall into your wax.

If your Flame is Dancing your wick needs trimming. Extinguish the flame and use the toenail clipper to trim the wick. Once trimmed, relight the candle.

Never spray non-stick sprays in your votive holder when using one of our Votives. Our Veggie wax cleans up with warm soapy water. There is no need for water in the bottom of your votive holder prior to burning or putting the used holder in the freezer. Our Natural Veggie Wax cleans up with warm soapy water.

	Never leave a burning candle unattended.
	Keep burning candles out of reach of children.
	Never burn a candle in a drafty room. Always keep your burning candles away from draperies or other flammable items.
	Always follow the manufactures instructions when burning any candle.
